Friday   5:30 – 7             Bingo, Spaghetti  Pasta  &  Fine  Beverages         Jefferson Center

Come meet your friends and neighbors while enjoying our spaghetti pasta with fine drinks.  Around 6:15 we will transition to a fast-paced Bingo that has a 100% payout with a jackpot of about $200 from the purchase of our five-game card pack for $5 (cash only).  Doors open at 5:30.

6:00 – 9                                                     Smores  &  Games                     Washington Complex Center

Join us at the Washington Complex (looks like a barn building) for a cozy evening with something for everyone.  Discover games, smores and music!  Adults will gather in the Taylor Billiard Room from 5 – 8:30 to enjoy open play on our “best in central Virginia” billiard tables and our indoor, super fast, 22 foot shuffleboard.  The Fillmore Room (in the same Washington Complex building) will offer pizza, chicken wings, ice cream, parlor board games and foosball (sure to be fun for all ages).  As a special treat, buy a Smores kit ($2) and gather around our outdoor grills to enjoy everybody’s favorite: Smores, just like the “good ol’ days.”

7:00 – 9                                             Spooky  Haunted  House                                                The Quad

Join us for an adventure through our Haunted House!  From 7 to 9 in the dark of night, mature kids and adults can experience the excitement of unique and well designed corridors with black lights and “fog” filled with classic Halloween images that include goblins, graveyards, clowns, scares and screams. Indeed, this haunted adventure is a rather unforgettable, super fun, Fall occasion designed for our mature kids and older guests.

10 – 11                        Kids  Crafts:  Halloween  Masks, Spiders  and  Ghosts       Polk Crafts Room

Get ready for a spooktacular time at our Polk Arts and Crafts room in the Washington Complex Building, adjacent to near the Fillmore pizza and ice cream parlor. Create your own Halloween mask, spooky ghost, or creepy spider with the help of our artistic and talented staff.

11:00                                                          Pumpkin  Carving                                                         The Quad

Join us at the Quad to pick up the perfect pumpkin to carve ($5).  Our staff will supply the carving tools necessary to craft your “pumpkin masterpiece.”  Be creative; be bold; and display your work on the Quad along the pool fence in our competition for the best carvings (see below).

11 – 6                                                              Fun  Festival                               Washington Complex Area

Join us at The Washington Complex area for a day of fun kids games and activities!  On the patio, play pumpkin bowling, witch hat toss, and pumpkin tick, tack doe. Halloween Raffle is free to play for a prize and Halloween Bingo will start at 2:30 PM. Prize bags will be awarded freely for extra effort and for just having a fun afternoon.  Inside, hangout while watching the classic Wizard of Oz or challenge your friends to a board game showdown inside the Fillmore Room.

3:00 – 3:15                                  Carving  &  Site  Decoration  Awards                                  The Quad

Our RV site / cottage site decorating contest AND our pumpkin carving competition (mentioned above) will be judged with prizes awarded at around 3pm at the pool fence area in the Quad (or in the Jefferson Event Center in the event of weather).  There will be three winners for the pumpkin carving contest and three winners for the best RV site / cottage decorations.  Each of the 1st place winners for carving and for site decoration will receive a $40 gift card!  Each of the second-place winners get deluxe milk shakes from the Fillmore Ice Cream Parlor for their immediate camping family.  Each of the third-place winners will get a free scoop of ice cream from the Fillmore for their immediate camping family.

3:30                                                         Adult  Pumpkin  Race                                        Volleyball Court

We are hoping for a great crowd to cheer their favorite adult contestant participating in the first annual Downhill Pumpkin Race at Madison Vines.  Held on the lawn adjacent to the volleyball and basketball courts, the “racing adults” will grab their broomstick and select their pumpkin, then line up at the top of the hill to race downhill, kicking and sweeping their pumpkin downhill to the finish line at the entrance road.  WOW… this could be crazy.  The fastest pumpkin racer who gets their pumpkin over the finish line wins a first-place prize of a $50 gift certificate; the runner up pumpkin racer / kicker /sweeper is awarded a $25 gift certificate.  Are ready to RACE?

4 – 5:30                                                    Trick  or  Treating                              All RV and Cottage Sites

Join in the festive fun at Madison Vines RV and Cottages this Halloween by participating in the classic tradition of trick or treating.  The kids will go site to site where the site guests are waiting outside to pass out candy to those trick or treaters wo have costumes.  If you’re handing out treats, be sure to be outside!  This promises to be a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone!

6:00 – 8:30                                        Halloween  “ZOMBIE”  Dinner                            Jefferson Center

Calling all wicked hungry ghouls and goblins!  Come in your best costume (or just come hungry) to our first annual spooktacular Halloween Zombie Dinner and Costume Contest!   Indulge in a feast of chicken wings, spaghetti, appetizers, and Jello served inside an almost lovable zombie creation! Trust us, the food will be startlingly delicious!  Show off your creepy creative prowess by wearing your best Halloween costume!  The scariest costume, and the funniest costume, and the most unique overall attire each will win a $50 dollar gift certificate.

The costume contest judging begins at 6:40 pm sharp and will rely on applause to determine the winners of the three $50 dollar gift certificates.  Unleash your inner creature and let the clapping decide your fate!  There is limited seating for this monster mash, and we urge you to please reserve your seats at the office or call 540 – 948 – 4186.  Only $10 per person.

Start your day with a hot breakfast featuring homemade pumpkin shaped pancakes with a hashbrown casserole, warm breakfast pizza, fresh fruit, muffins, juice and fine coffee.  $5 (age 3 & up) at the door or sign up at office.
