Veteran’s Weekend – November 7-9th

Honoring Our Veterans: A Memorable Weekend Celebration. Join us as we make this weekend unforgettable for our heroes!

Thursday, November 6th

5:00 pm – Social Hour & Trivia – Fillmore Pizza Parlor

Get your weekend started right with a fun and friendly evening! We’re hosting a casual get-together featuring good food, great company, and a bit of friendly competition. Unwind and enjoy the start of your weekend with friends and fellow guests. Savor a classic Philly Cheese Steak, oozing with cheese and packed with flavor, or try another one of our specialty sandwiches, paired with a delicious side. The cost of the meal is only $8.00.

At 6:00 PM, get ready for some brain-teasing fun with our trivia event! Teams of two can compete to answer a variety of questions. The team with the most correct answers will win a prize! Get your thinking caps on and prepare for a night of laughter and friendly competition. Don’t worry if you’re not a trivia expert – it’s all about having a good time! We can’t wait to see you there for an evening of relaxation, great food, and friendly competition. It’s the perfect way to kick off your weekend!

Friday, November 7th

Join us for Hot off the Grill Shrimp Skewers on a bed of rice, beer, wine, and kid-friendly drinks. The cost of the meal is only $5.00. Around 6:00 pm, we will transition into three or four fast-paced games of Bingo. Bingo cards are available at the door for $5.00 and are good for all games.

Saturday, November 8th

10:00 am – Kids Craft – Polk Room

Get ready for a morning filled with creativity, community spirit, and patriotic fun! We’re hosting a special crafting event to honor our veterans and celebrate our nation. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just looking for a fun activity, everyone is welcome!

Join us for a heartwarming and creative morning! We’ll start by making cards for our veterans, expressing our gratitude for their service and sacrifice. After that, we’ll dive into a fun project creating popsicle stick American flags – a perfect way to show your patriotism and take home a handmade keepsake. All materials will be provided, so just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to create! Please sign up in the office!

11:00 am – Free Throw Contest – Basketball Court

This will be a simple, straightforward competition. Whoever makes the most out of 15 free throw shots wins. This competition will be divided into two flights: children 16 and under and adults. The winner of each flight will get a Free Pizza Gift Certificate.

12:00 pm – Golf Cart & Bike Parade – Start at the Jefferson Event Center

Get ready to rev up your creativity and show off your decorating skills at our Golf Cart and Bike Parade! It’s time to transform your trusty golf cart or bike into a dazzling masterpiece and join the fun. The top three most creatively decorated golf carts or bikes will win amazing prizes! Let your imagination be your guide, and who knows, you might just be one of our lucky winners!

1:00 pm – Cornhole Tournament – Quad

The first ten two-person teams who sign up will enjoy a single-elimination format of tournament cornhole. The winning team receives a $25.00 Amazon gift card. Please sign your team up at the office.

2:00 pm – Gaga Ball – Quad

 Come join us on the Quad for a high energy game of Gaga ball!  Similar to dodge ball but played in an octagonal pit with players hitting each other with a rubber ball, trying to eliminate their opponents, Gaga Ball is the new craze.  The last one standing wins a free ice cream from the Fillmore Ice Cream Parlor.

3:00 pm – Adult Craft – Polk Room

Uncork your creativity and join us for a fun-filled adult craft! We’ll be gathering in the Polk room to create unique and patriotic wine cork flags. During this event, we will guide you through the process of assembling your own wine cork flag. All materials, including wine corks, glue, backing, and paint, will be provided for a small fee of $5.00. Feel free to bring your own embellishments to personalize your creation! No prior crafting experience is necessary – just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and have fun! We will have wine available to enjoy during the craft as well. Please sign up at the office!

3:00 pm – Photo Scavenger Hunt – Madison Office

Join us for a delightful and interesting “Photo Scavenger Hunt” to find Madison Vines’ Treasures scattered throughout the property! All kids under 18 who participate and complete the list will enjoy a free ice cream cone from our Fillmore Ice Cream & Pizza Parlor.

6:00 pm – Smoked Whole Hog Dinner – Jefferson Event Center

You’re invited to a special event honoring our veterans with a delicious hog roast!

Come and enjoy smoked whole hogs, pasta salad, roasted corn, fried apples, cornbread, forest pie , and a day filled with camaraderie and gratitude. This event is dedicated to showing our appreciation for the service and sacrifice of our veterans. We will have a guest speaker sharing their insights and experiences, followed by a moving Missing Man Presentation to honor those who are no longer with us. These moments will provide a meaningful tribute to our veterans.  Let’s come together to celebrate our veterans with great food, camaraderie, and heartfelt appreciation! Cost of this is complimentary to Veteran’s and or $15.00 per person. Must show ID for complimentary meal.

7:00 pm – Live Music – Fillmore Pizza Parlor

Join us for a night of fantastic live music and good company at Fillmore Pizza Parlor! We’re excited to host the incredibly talented Mark Anderson for an unforgettable performance.

Sunday, November 9th

9:00 am – Breakfast – Jefferson Event Center

Come join us for a delicious breakfast in the Jefferson Event Center. On the menu, Scrambled Eggs, Bacon or Sausage, Breakfast Potatoes, Fruit, Juice and Coffee. All for only $8.00.

Please  purchase your $8.00 meal tickets by noon Saturday at the office.
