Labor Day Weekend: August 29th – September 1st

Friday, August 29th

5:30pm – Social Hour & Bingo – Jefferson Event Center

Join us at the Jefferson for a delightful evening featuring Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings with Ranch, Homemade Potato Salad, Beer, Wine and kid friendly drinks. Around 6:00pm, we transition into three to  four fast-paced bingo games. Cards are $5.00 cash at the door and are good for all games.

Please purchase your $5.00 meal tickets by 2:00 pm Friday afternoon in the office.

Saturday, August 30th

9:30am – Adult Cornhole Tournament – Quad

Let’s start the morning off with a friendly game of Cornhole. We will be taking the first ten, two-person teams who sign up for a single elimination format of tournament Cornhole. The winning team will each receive a $25.00 gift card. Please be sure to sign up in the office.

10:30am – Slip n’ Slide Kickball – Quad

Come on down to the quad and join us for a fun game of Slip n’ Slide kickball. This is a fun variation of the game where the baselines are made slippery and the bases are pools full of water. This will allow players to slide instead of run when advancing bases. It’s essentially kickball with a water slide element, adding an extra layer of excitement and strategy. We will take teams of up to 10 players and you are sure to have a fun time!

11:00am – DJ by the Pool

While you hang out at the pool, enjoy great music by DJ Chip Harvey.

1:30pm – Adult Craft – Polk Room

Adults join us in the Polk Room for sparkling craft. Diamond Art is becoming the new rage and we are bringing it to Madison Vines just for the adults. Choose your design and we will teach you how to make the most amazing bookmark you have ever seen. Cost for this craft is $10.00 and you must sign up in the office. 

3:00pm – Super Soaker Wagon Ride – Quad

Kids will board the hay wagon, carrying their mega water squirters which we provide. You are also welcome to bring your own. Bins of water on the wagon will keep the kids squirting the RVers, who have hoses aimed at the wagon to squirt back! This is a kids vs. adults’ competition to see who gets totally drenched!

5:30pm – Saturday Dinner – Jefferson Event Center

We are smoking a guest favorite tonight, so come on down to the Jefferson Event Center for a mouthing meal. We are serving Smoked Baby Back Ribs along with Coleslaw, Pit Beans, Cornbread and Pineapple Up Side Down Cake. All of this for only $20.00!

7:00pm – Live Music – Quad

Grab your chairs, blankets, Favorite Drink and join us on the Quad for live music by Troy Coleman.

Sunday, August 31st

10:00am – Kids Craft – Polk Room

Join us in the Polk room and make your very own custom pencil holder. With school in full swing or just around the corner, these custom one of a kind pencil holders are sure to make your desk a hit. Cost of this craft is $8.00 and you must sign up in the office.

11:00am – DJ by the Pool

While you hang out at the pool, enjoy great music by DJ Chip Harvey.

11:00am – Frozen Shirt Relay Race – Quad

Come on over to the Quad and cool off with this chilling frozen tee shirt race. Each of you will start out with a completely frozen shirt, you will have to untangle it, put it on and the first person to get across the finish line wins a scoop of ice cream from the Fillmore Ice Cream Parlor,

1:00pm – Sponge Relay Race – Quad

In this race, one player from each team takes their sponge, runs down to the full bucket, fills the sponge with the water, runs back to squeeze as much water as possible into the empty bucket. Then the next player goes and so on, until they fill their bucket. The team that fills their bucket first, wins bragging rights.

2:00pm – Watermelon Eating Contest

Do you like watermelon? Join us on the grass by the office for a watermelon eating contest. In this competitive event you will try to eat as many slices of watermelon as quickly as possible. The goal is to be the first to finish the watermelon slices and the one who has eaten the most slices within a specific time limit. Hands are often tied behind the contestant’s backs, forcing them to rely solely on their mouths to eat the watermelon. The winner will receive a $25.00 gift card.

If you thought Saturday’s dinner was great, you will enjoy tonight’s as well. Our Pit Master Tony will be firing up the smoker again and will make the best Smoked Brisket Burgers you have ever had and Chef Deb will be busy cooking up the sides. The burgers come with a Garden Salad, Potato Salad, Roasted Corn of the Cob, and a Lemon White Chocolate Cookie to round out this amazing meal. All of this for only $12.00!

Monday, September 1st

9:00am – Monday Breakfast – Jefferson Event Center

After a long weekend and before you head home join us in the Jefferson Event Center for breakfast. On the menu, Tater Tot Breakfast Casserole, One Bacon and Cheese and one 4-Cheese, Mini Muffins, Fresh Fruit, Coffee and Juice. All of this for only $8.00.

Please purchase your breakfast tickets by noon on Saturday in the office.
