Feed the Zombies Halloween weekend

*****Make sure to be ready for our Saturday Trick or Treat*****

We will be collecting nonperishable food for the Madison Emergency Services Association (MESA). Let’s find room in our hearts to help our local families by making sure they have a hearty meal at the dinner table easing their worries with the rising cost of food. Please leave your donations in a bag on your steps. Our Zombies will be around to collect between 2:30-3:30 on Saturday.

Friday October 14

5:30pm-6:30pm: Social Hour / Bingo
Event Center
Please come chat it up with our popular “Meet Your Neighbor” social hour event that includes tasty Mummy Dogs with coleslaw, iced tea, lemonade, or a thirst quenching variety of domestic and imported beers and California red and white wines. Soon after the “Happy Camper Hour” begins, the focus merges to our 100% payout Bingo: a fast paced affair with five cards for $5 (cash only).

Saturday October 15

9:30am–10:00am: Arts & Crafts – Leaf collecting for your Arts & Craft time
Event Center
Collect leaves to use for your autumn leaf tea light holder. If you don’t want to collect real leaves, we will have some for you to use.

10:00am–11:00am: Arts & Crafts – Autumn Leaf tea light holder
Event Center
We will have a special arts and crafts session for the entire family (with emphasis on the kids), creating special decoupage autumn leaf mason jar candle holders. Your unique hand crafted memento will make a great table centerpiece for your RV or cottage as well as at home.

11:30am-1:00pm: Pumpkin Patch
Come join us at our pumpkin patch on the Quad to pick out your $3 sugar pumpkin for pumpkin decorating that will follow at the Event Center. You can paint your pumpkin, carve your pumpkin, use craft accessories to make a great face on your pumpkin. Please be ready to decorate your Pumpkin no later than 12:00 noon.

1:00pm-1:45pm: Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt

Search throughout the quad and Reception Center area for pumpkin items (small pumpkins, pictures, decorator items). Each of the items will have a star on them so that you know it is an “official” scavenger hunt pumpkin. One person in each age group with the most Pumpkins wins a prize, either a gift card or a Madison Vines store gift certificate. Bring your pumpkins back to the Event Center by 1:30 promptly for judging.

2:30pm-3:30pm: Site to site Trick or Treating and Zombie food collection
It’s time to dress up and trick or treat through the park. Guests please have your treats ready for the kids. BEWARE!! Watch for the zombies as they will also be out Trick or Treating for the food bank.

5:00pm: Buzzard Dinner
Event Center
We will grill up flavorful BBQ Chicken with homemade sides of mac ‘n’ cheese, green beans and deviled “spider” eggs. Dessert will be a “creepy eyeball” cherry pudding cheesecake. As always, we will offer lemonade, tea, a delicious red and white wines, and ice cold domestic and imported beers, including a domestic and an imported light beer. Advance Tickets Required. (Adults $12; Children 12 and under $8)

6:30pm: Movie Time – “Hocus Pocus 2”
Event Center
After you pick your chicken to the bone stick around to watch on our 85 inch high def TV the new Disney movie ”Hocus Pocus 2”. Three young women accidentally bring the Sanderson Sisters back to modern day Salem and must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on the world. In between laughs, we will be serving complimentary Popcorn and beverages.

Sunday October 16

9:00am – 10:00am: Pancake Breakfast
Event Center
Our free pancakes are homemade and will be served hot off the griddle with unsalted or regular butter, original maple syrup, juice and the finest coffee. Anyone who eats ten or more pancakes at one sitting wins a tee shirt of their choice.

10:30am – 11:00 noon: Granola Bar Bingo for All Ages
Event Center
Take home a tasty treat when you win Granola Bar Bingo at our fast-paced Bingo for one and all.
